Bumrungrad Recognitions for Quality Awards and Safety:

AtBumrungrad International Hospital, we work to advance clinical care, research, and treatments of the highest caliber in order to promote the health of our community and beyond. Bumrungrad has received recognition over the years for its pursuit of excellence, innovation, and quality in the fields of medicine and healthcare. Here are a handful of our most recent accolades:

On March 1, 2023 Newsweek announced their "Worlds Best Hospitals 2023" via www.newsweek.com.Bumrungrad International Hospitalwas ranked the number one hospital in Thailand (Worlds Best Hospitals 2023 Thailand), with a score of 93.00%, among the 30 Thai hospitals listed on their best hospitals in Thailand list. Bumrungrad has been named the best hospital in Thailand for three years running. Furthermore, Bumrungrad ranked 182nd out of 250 hospitals worldwide, making it the only Thai hospital in the top 250. Four primary factors were used by the international panel of eminent experts to calculate the rankings: 1) Medical experts' recommendations (doctor, hospital manager, and over 80,000 healthcare professionals from 2,300 hospitals in 28 countries); 2) Patient experience survey results; 3) Hospital quality metrics, including patient-to-doctor ratio, hygienic measures and safety, and quality of care for particular treatments; and 4) Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) implementation survey. PROMs were utilized in the procedure for the first time in this instance.

International Standard of Excellence:

The leading global provider of healthcare accreditation, Joint Commission International (JCI), has accredited Bumrungrad as the first hospital in Asia. The accreditation examines all aspects of medical personnel qualifications, surgical hygiene, anesthesia procedures, and health policy issues. It has approximately 350 standards on the international standards of requirements. The US-based Joint Commission International (JCI) approvedBumrungrad International Hospitalas the first hospital in Asia in 2002. Additionally, the hospital has received five consecutive reaccreditations.

Since 2017,Bumrungrad International Hospitalhas been accredited by the Global Healthcare Accreditation (GHA) Program, making it the first hospital outside of the USA to do so.

International Standard of Quality:

In 2016, Bumrungrad became the first hospital in Thailand to get the Healthcare Accreditation Institute's Advanced Hospital Accreditation (A-HA). Additionally, at the 17th annual HA National Forum, Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Phravararajatinuddamatu accredited us as the only healthcare organization. In order to ensure that all hospitals meet the high standards of quality set by the US and Canada, the Healthcare Accreditation Institute voluntarily inspects institutions that are not affiliated with the medical field. It is a privilege for Bumrungrad to have the Healthcare Accreditation Institute recognize it.

Bumrungrad International Hospitalhas been received Thailand Digital Transformation Awards by categories Best Customer Experience Award 2022 with the project “Pentagon Search: Finding Everything”, which was the second consecutive year of this award.

This award goes to a brand that not only saves lives but through their #เราเลือกได้ (We Can Choose) campaign, Bumrungrad Hospital (@BumrungradH) drove positive conversations that gave people the hope to fight cancer. The subtle but effective commercial, which was based on a true tale, highlighted a doctor who discovered cancer early enough to treat and ultimately defeat it. The campaign invited Twitter users to participate in a discourse aimed at lifting the spirits and providing support to individuals afflicted with the illness.

Sterilization and Sterility Assurance:

A panel of experts overseeing the Central Sterile Supply Department's (CSSD) Center of Excellence Program defines healthcare organizations as such when they meet high standards for disinfection and sterilization services and demonstrate leadership in assisting other CSSD institutions with the implementation of CSSD education programs. In 2016, Bumrungrad was recognized as the CSSD Center of Excellence by CSSD, an organization accredited by the Asia Pacific Society for Infection Control (APSIC).

Excellence in the Practice of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine:

The College of American Pathologists (CAP) is the premier association of board-certified pathologists in the world, supporting and promoting excellence in laboratory medicine and pathology practices. The College of American Pathologists (CAP) approved Bumrungrad as the nation's first private hospital in 2016. This accreditation attests to the precision and dependability of our tests and diagnoses.

Excellence in Health Tourism:

The Thailand Tourism Award's 2008 Award of Outstanding Performance in Medically-Oriented Establishment went to Bumrungrad, the first private hospital to earn it. The Tourism Authority of Thailand bestowed this accolade on Bumrungrad in recognition of his pioneering work in establishing first-rate medical care for visitors.

Organizational Excellence:

The renowned Malcolm Baldrige Award in the United States serves as the model for the Thailand Quality Class (TQC) Award. TQC was established in 2002 and conducts operational, management, and strategic process audits for organizations. The CEO of Bumrungrad International, Mr. Mack Banner, received the honor from Deputy Prime Minister Korbsak Sabhavasu in 2008. Bumrungrad is the first private hospital to be eligible for TQC.

Ethical Review of Health Research

The network of regional ethical review committees, health researchers, and partner organizations that make up the Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review (SIDCER) keeps an eye on the efficacy and quality of ethical reviews conducted globally. To guarantee universal protection for all human subjects in health research, the SIDCER collaborates with the Forum for Ethical Review Committees in Asia and the Western Pacific Region (FERCAP) and the National Ethics Committee Accreditation System of Thailand. SIDCER honored the Bumrungrad International Institutional Review Board (BI/IRB) in 2016 for its ethical contributions to health research.

Outstanding Performance

The goal of the Westgard Sigma Verification of Performance program is to showcase laboratories that have successfully implemented quality control, enabling businesses to produce accurate and trustworthy test results. It is a privilege for Bumrungrad to have been awarded Outstanding Performance at the 2014 Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Awards. This accreditation attests to the effectiveness of our lab equipment and our exceptionally high test accuracy.

Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence

The ACE Recognition Award credits AMCHAM corporate members who demonstrate a strong understanding of business operation with long-term economic and social value. The AMCHAM ACE Awards is one of the important benchmarks for CSR within the United States and the international business community in Thailand. Bumrungrad received the AMCHAM Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Recognition Award with Gold Status in 2013.

Commitment to Community

With the goal of"Connect for Sharing,"the Thai Listed Companies Association, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Stock Exchange of Thailand collaborated to form the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Club Thailand.
